Berici Hills

The Berici Hills, formed on the bed of an ancient sea over the space of hundreds of millions of years, stand towards the south of Vicenza, on the alluvial plain.

Within the hills, in the municipality of Arcugnano, the Lake of Fimon represents the last remaining natural basin.
The relaxing walk around the lake is not only very enjoyable, but also offers much in terms of natural appreciation. It consists in approximately five kilometres of dirt road closed to traffic, to be walked over a couple of hours in order to enjoy the lights, colours and scents of the water and the common reed, in one of the most beautiful sections of the Berici Mountains and Veneto.

Also belonging to the Berici Hills are various isolated hills throughout the plain: to the north, the Altavilla Vicentina hills; to the west, the Monticello di Fara in Sarego; to the east, the hills of Montegalda, and to the south-east of the Berici, the Monticello di Barbarano Vicentino and the hills of Albettone and Lovertino are located.
This group of hills represents the natural geographical and above all geological connection with the nearby Euganei Hills.

A corner of nature and panoramic beauty, where mankind can rekindle his primitive essence.
